Dr Thomas (Tom) Kite

Dr Tom Kite is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of all aspects of cardiovascular disease, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and hypertension. He is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care, combining the latest advances with a compassionate approach tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

After completing specialist cardiology training in the United Kingdom, Dr Kite undertook a British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) Fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, where he developed advanced expertise in complex coronary and structural heart intervention.

Dr Kite performs coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), including the treatment of complex coronary artery disease using advanced calcium modification techniques. He has a particular interest in structural heart disease, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Kite has an active interest in cardiovascular research. His PhD focused on improving outcomes for patients with acute coronary syndromes, with findings that have informed contemporary European Society of Cardiology clinical practice guidelines.

Dr Kite welcomes referrals for all aspects of general and interventional cardiology. He provides thorough specialist assessment and evidence-based treatment, with clear communication and a focus on supporting patients throughout their care.
